Here’s a nice and simple arrangement of this classic American cowboy tune. The lyrics were written in 1872 by Dr. Brewster M. Higley. His friend, Daniel E. Kelley, wrote the melody on his guitar. It became the state song of Kansas in 1947. This arrangement is perfect for an elementary class or a beginner choir to perform. There is one vocal part, one piano part, and chord names for guitar or other instruments to accompany with. It’s presented in the keys of C, F, or G. There are two pages in the score. The duration is roughly one and a half minutes.
