Christmas Bassoon Ensembles! 8 Trios, Quartets, & Quintets! Sheet Music PDF Download
A collection of eight trios, quartets, and quintets for wintertime holiday festivities. There are two different versions of Deck The Halls arranged for bassoon quartet. The first one is a very standard chorale-like arrangement with the first bassoon soaring into the tenor clef region. The second version is in D minor instead of D major, a little silly and perfectly bassoony. Along those same lines is Joy To The World, but in D minor. The final ‘comic’ piece is an arrangement of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen in F major.
Here’s a fun and lively arrangement of Jingle Bells for bassoon quartet. Did you know this song was originally sung around Thanksgiving time in the United States? Score is two pages, each part is one page, everything is included in one PDF.
In The Bleak Midwinter is very straightforward arrangement for three bassoons. It is presented in both the key of F and the key of G. Each version’s score is only one page and they are both contained in one PDF.
A very fun arrangement of this classic Hawaiian Christmas song, Mele Kalikimaka, originally made famous by Bing Crosby. Score is two pages, each part is one page, everything is included in one PDF.
And finally, a bassoon quintet arrangement for Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas. This is a lovely new arrangement of this Christmas classic. In fact, this is one of my favorite arrangements that I’ve ever done! Bassoons 1-3 are for players with a bit more experience while bassoons 4 and 5 are reserved for musicians that are newer to the instrument. Complete score is five pages, each part is one page, everything is included in one PDF. Don’t forget to swing those eighth notes!
